| 簡介說明 | 記憶如板塊，不知在何時，就悄悄躲開你的覺察，在腦「海」中浮動、挪移、變形；普世的種種歷史記載，或許也是如此。 《過往即他鄉》由楊俊與松根充和（Michikazu Matsune）的私記憶作為開端，引用日本傳統的說故事技巧「紙芝居（Kamishibai）」，以圖像與口述，一塊一塊地回溯幾個歷史上的大事件，諸如1969年全球矚目的首次登月、2018年的南北韓領導人會面的那場高峰會，以及自十七世紀以來，東亞諸國在邊界與領土議題上的爭議。此作中，他們質樸地檢視人類歷史中的隱形界線，輕點那些在海洋中潛泳、在陸地上移動，甚至，漫遊於外太空的幽默衝突。 「我有時候會讓自己漂浮在海水中，看看它會將我帶往何處。」 有著多年友誼的楊俊與松根充和，他們以藝術家的身份長年旅居各國，也因此他們面對著多重文化、多重身份，以及如何界定真實，有著獨到的眼光。《過往即他鄉》便是如此，細細地以私視角，望穿歷史圖像裡的矛盾幽微，與荒謬。 The stories of 2 men whose conflict, understanding and friendship is forged in territories and borders of varying topography – sea, land, and outer space. Combining photographic panels and narrative stories - in the old Japanese kamishibai picture-show style - this work examines the political contexts of East-Asian conflicts since 17th century, with the ocean as the realm of absolute freedom. The stories include epic events, such as the 1969 moon-landing expedition of 3 NASA astronauts and the 2018 summit between North and South Korean leaders. Jun Yang and Michikazu Matsune, both artists from Vienna but who work across different cultural milieu, poetically bridge the past/present, political/personal, national/individual, and offer a perspective on the pandemic current. 【演出團隊】 日本｜松根充和 (Michikazu Matsune) 來自日本神戶的行為藝術家暨編舞家松根充和，現居奧地利維也納，其創作橫跨多種空間與環境，無論舞台、博物館、美術館、公共空間或私人空間都可見到他的身影。他熱衷於藉檢視詩意的荒謬性，或批判、或詼諧地反映我們所處的社會。松根充和的跨域演出多探討如身體與物件、行動與語言、地方與行為之間關係等主題。 松根充和近期舞台演出包括《全》（All Together，2018），發展自為了種種原因不能來看、來參與這場演出的缺席者故事；獨舞作《再會》（Goodbye ，2016）則以「告別信」為題，信件取材自某個全球資料庫，由各方人士所書寫；《跳舞吧，要是你想來到我的國家的話！》（ Dance, if you want to enter my country，2015）處理的是一名舞者的真實故事與奇異經歷，述說舞者在機場面臨嚴格入境檢驗時，如何被強制跳了一段舞。松根充和進行中的《表演作業》（Performance Homework，www.performance-homework.work，2020）則集結多位藝術家作品，讓觀眾能夠在自己家裡表演。 Michikazu Matsune, Japan Michikazu Matsune is a performance-artist and choreographer who works in various contexts and spaces such as stage, museums, public and private spaces. His interest lies in testing poetic absurdity to reflect our society critically and playfully. His interdisciplinary performances investigate themes such as the relationship between body and objects, action and language, place and behavior. Michikazu Matsune is originally from Kobe / Japan and based in Vienna / Austria. His recent stage-works include All Together (2018) that is based on stories of people who, for one or another reason, cannot come and see this performance. His solo Goodbye (2016) features farewell letters written by various people from a global archive. Dance, if you want to enter my country! (2015) deals with the true and bizarre story of a dancer who was forced to dance as part of a strict passport control in an airport. Matsune’s current project Performance Homework (www.performance-homework.work) (2020) shares works by various artists that can be performed by the audience in their own home. 臺北、維也納、橫濱｜楊俊 楊俊是於臺北、維也納與橫濱三地創作的藝術家，其作品涵蓋多種媒材，如影片、裝置、表演以及公共空間計畫，並以機構、社會與觀眾為訴求對象。 楊俊成長於不同文化背景之間，也因此在創作中探討了媒體圖像與老梗（ clichés）對於認同政治的影響。其作品曾展出於2018年雪梨雙年展、2012年暨2018年光州雙年展、2008年台北雙年展、2006年利物浦雙年展、2005年第51屆威尼斯雙年展，以及2002年第4屆歐洲宣言展（Manifesta）。 2007年，楊俊移居臺北，並投入於《關於遺忘與記憶的一則短篇》短片創作。他在2008年台北雙年展開啟了「台北當代藝術中心」計畫，並在雙年展後成為「台北當代藝術中心」創始會員之一。 《過往即他鄉》為楊俊與松根充和首次合作之作，是為了2018年光州雙年展而創作。 楊俊現正投入於其一系列個展／回顧展計畫， 2018年首先於首爾藝術善仔中心開幕，2019年來到奧地利格拉茲美術館，2020年底將於關渡美術館與 TKG Projects空間以雙個展形式呈現，預計2021年於台北當代藝術館展出。 Jun Yang, Taipei/ Vienna/ Yokohama Jun Yang is an artist based in Vienna, Taipei and Yokohama. His works encompass various mediums - including, film, installation, performance and projects in the public spaces while addressing institutions, societies and audiences. Having grown up and lived in various different cultural contexts, in his artistic work Jun Yang examines the influence of clichés and media images on identity politics. Previous exhibitions include the Biennial of Sydney 2018, the Gwangju Biennale 2018 and 2012; the Taipei Biennial 2008, the Liverpool Biennial 2006, the 51st Biennale di Venezia 2005, and the Manifesta 4 in 2002. In 2007 he moved to Taipei to focus on working on a short film A Short-Story on Forgetting and Remembering. He is also one of the founders of Taipei Contemporary Art Center; which evolved following a project he initiated in the Taipei Biennial 2008. The Past is a Foreign Country is the first collaboration between Matsune and Yang. It was produced for the Gwangju Biennale 2018.
