歷史沿革建築興建史、使用變遷史 新湖口公學校即今湖口鄉新湖國小，公學校講堂位於校園中央，原經過結構評估認為老舊有安全之虞，後經文化資產審議，於民國一O七年指定為縣定古蹟。 新湖口公學校設立於昭和七（1932）年，講堂於昭和十三（1938）年落成。昭和年間湖口下北勢地區逐漸發展，就學兒童人數增加之後，於是成立新湖口公學校，在經費欠缺下，透過地方庄民的捐資，並且參與工程進行，才得以興建。講堂不但是學校師生集會上課、典禮之場所，也同時兼作為湖口庄公共集會場所。 公學校講堂採用RC構造，加強結構系統的穩固，形成以大開口部構成的簡潔牆面，反映出了現代建築簡約的特質，屬於當時代講堂建築中少見的案例。建築具有比例美感，視覺上相當協調。講堂建築進出動線規劃共有四個出入口，亦即除了東側講台的部分以外，西側與南側各做一出入口，北側則做兩出入口，以提升學生疏散效能。西側為山牆面主入口，入口上做雨遮，並在山牆處開小圓窗，兼具採光與通風。 建築相關之人物事件歷史 明治四十（1907）年「新竹廳大湖口公學校」在波羅汶的設立，是湖口、新豐一帶現代教育的開端，學生的來源包含今天的湖口與新豐兩地。昭和四（1929）年原位於大湖口的湖口車站遷址至下北勢，帶動此區的發展，人口數量也隨之大增。為了考量學童通學的便利性，當時湖口庄長傅任提出將中崙分教場（大湖口公學校之分校）遷移至下北勢，同時開始籌集建築資金約一萬五千元，興建新校舍。當時資金拮据，湖口庄協議會員的范達，熱心公益，將其位於下北勢一八番地的田地，地價約三千五百円，捐贈給湖口庒設置學校，才得以順利興建。至昭和七（1932）年「湖口公學校中崙分教場」廢止，設立「新竹州新湖口公學校」，光復後改稱新湖口國民學校，民國五十七年改為新湖國民小學。 建築場所精神價值 新湖口公學校從設校到講堂的興建，可以展現湖口從鄉村聚落邁向現代化城鎮發展的脈絡。就建築本身的美學價值而言，充分傳遞出日治時期的以比例與線條展現的建築簡約美感。不僅講堂建築本身，其周圍的老樹，與講堂共同構成場域，是極為珍貴且重要的環境教育場所。

指定登錄理由本講堂約建於1938年，做為國小禮堂之用，為承重墻磚造建築，以大跨距木構架屋頂，墻身外觀有特殊工法。為新竹縣少數留存的日治時期學校講堂，講堂之創設具社會性意義，其形式外觀表現興建當時之現代化風格，且講堂建築與老樹共構具歷史與環境美學教育意義，整體具文化資產價值。
法令依據文化資產法第17條、古蹟指定及廢止審查辦法第4條及第5條、行政程序法第116條及第117條暨107年9月28日「107年新竹縣古蹟歷史建築審議委員會第2次會議」決議。

外觀特徵新湖口公學校講堂建築具有比例美，從建築本身的進深與面闊的比為 1.51：1，接近於黃金比例 1.618：1，視覺上相當協調。講堂建築進出動線規劃共有四個出入口，亦即除了東側講台的部分以外，西側與南側各做一出入口，北側則做兩出入口，以提升學生疏散效能。西側為山牆面入口，講台位於東側。西側山牆面的出入口設計，非常簡潔，由主入口與兩側開窗組成，主入口上做雨遮，並在山牆處開小圓窗，兼具採光與通風。
室內特徵講堂的前端是講台，中央為集合空間，現擺放桌椅。講台空間以木作抬高，壁面做腰板，顯示講台空間不同於講堂內的其他空間，可惜腰板現在遭受嚴重蟻害。講台以層層內縮的矩形拱券做開口部設計，凝聚視覺焦點，中央則施作木製框，目前懸掛國旗。木框現已遭受蟻害，嚴重損毀，但從它的殘留狀態可以看到過去亦雕有柱頭與柱礎之刻紋。講台的後方，有三個圓型氣窗，光線可以從講台的正後上方引入，確保講台光線充足。

歷史沿革: 建築興建史、使用變遷史 新湖口公學校即今湖口鄉新湖國小，公學校講堂位於校園中央，原經過結構評估認為老舊有安全之虞，後經文化資產審議，於民國一O七年指定為縣定古蹟。 新湖口公學校設立於昭和七（1932）年，講堂於昭和十三（1938）年落成。昭和年間湖口下北勢地區逐漸發展，就學兒童人數增加之後，於是成立新湖口公學校，在經費欠缺下，透過地方庄民的捐資，並且參與工程進行，才得以興建。講堂不但是學校師生集會上課、典禮之場所，也同時兼作為湖口庄公共集會場所。 公學校講堂採用RC構造，加強結構系統的穩固，形成以大開口部構成的簡潔牆面，反映出了現代建築簡約的特質，屬於當時代講堂建築中少見的案例。建築具有比例美感，視覺上相當協調。講堂建築進出動線規劃共有四個出入口，亦即除了東側講台的部分以外，西側與南側各做一出入口，北側則做兩出入口，以提升學生疏散效能。西側為山牆面主入口，入口上做雨遮，並在山牆處開小圓窗，兼具採光與通風。 建築相關之人物事件歷史 明治四十（1907）年「新竹廳大湖口公學校」在波羅汶的設立，是湖口、新豐一帶現代教育的開端，學生的來源包含今天的湖口與新豐兩地。昭和四（1929）年原位於大湖口的湖口車站遷址至下北勢，帶動此區的發展，人口數量也隨之大增。為了考量學童通學的便利性，當時湖口庄長傅任提出將中崙分教場（大湖口公學校之分校）遷移至下北勢，同時開始籌集建築資金約一萬五千元，興建新校舍。當時資金拮据，湖口庄協議會員的范達，熱心公益，將其位於下北勢一八番地的田地，地價約三千五百円，捐贈給湖口庒設置學校，才得以順利興建。至昭和七（1932）年「湖口公學校中崙分教場」廢止，設立「新竹州新湖口公學校」，光復後改稱新湖口國民學校，民國五十七年改為新湖國民小學。 建築場所精神價值 新湖口公學校從設校到講堂的興建，可以展現湖口從鄉村聚落邁向現代化城鎮發展的脈絡。就建築本身的美學價值而言，充分傳遞出日治時期的以比例與線條展現的建築簡約美感。不僅講堂建築本身，其周圍的老樹，與講堂共同構成場域，是極為珍貴且重要的環境教育場所。

指定登錄理由: 本講堂約建於1938年，做為國小禮堂之用，為承重墻磚造建築，以大跨距木構架屋頂，墻身外觀有特殊工法。為新竹縣少數留存的日治時期學校講堂，講堂之創設具社會性意義，其形式外觀表現興建當時之現代化風格，且講堂建築與老樹共構具歷史與環境美學教育意義，整體具文化資產價值。

外觀特徵: 新湖口公學校講堂建築具有比例美，從建築本身的進深與面闊的比為 1.51：1，接近於黃金比例 1.618：1，視覺上相當協調。講堂建築進出動線規劃共有四個出入口，亦即除了東側講台的部分以外，西側與南側各做一出入口，北側則做兩出入口，以提升學生疏散效能。西側為山牆面入口，講台位於東側。西側山牆面的出入口設計，非常簡潔，由主入口與兩側開窗組成，主入口上做雨遮，並在山牆處開小圓窗，兼具採光與通風。
室內特徵: 講堂的前端是講台，中央為集合空間，現擺放桌椅。講台空間以木作抬高，壁面做腰板，顯示講台空間不同於講堂內的其他空間，可惜腰板現在遭受嚴重蟻害。講台以層層內縮的矩形拱券做開口部設計，凝聚視覺焦點，中央則施作木製框，目前懸掛國旗。木框現已遭受蟻害，嚴重損毀，但從它的殘留狀態可以看到過去亦雕有柱頭與柱礎之刻紋。講台的後方，有三個圓型氣窗，光線可以從講台的正後上方引入，確保講台光線充足。

歷史沿革明治30年(1897)，日人為使臺灣人學習本國語（日語）而於鰲峰山下成立「臺中國語傳習所牛罵頭分教場」，明治31年(1898) 改制為「牛罵頭公學校」，大正14年(1925)改為「清水公學校」 (現今校舍建於此一時期)，民國57年(1968)改為「清水國小」。 本案校舍於昭和10年（1935）建成時，共有一U字型木造與磚造教室、講堂、幼稚圍及日式宿舍群中的校長宿舍，均為一樓之平房。U字型校舍之北棟、東棟與南棟右邊五間均為磚造，唯南棟末端五間(含穿堂)係木造校舍。學校大門及園區內環境得天獨厚，保存著歷史原味，U型教室建築設計精細，英式磚砌手法為當時期典範，通風口、防蟲網等設施，都是人性化考量，U型設計即是為了通風考量，可以節約能源。為日治時期學校建築典型風格，洗石子與清水磚面是建築特色。教室、講堂、宿舍所連結而成的歷史空間氛圍極為珍貴。 九二一地震後，U型教室牆體裂損、天花板塌陷、屋架毀損，大禮堂屋架毀損、天花板塌落，經九二一震災歷史建築修復全額補助修復經費，並進行調查研究、規劃設計後動工修復，於民國95年(2006)6月29日完工。目前由清水國民小學賡續作為學校教室使用中。

外觀特徵U型教室： 為一層樓之U字型磚造平房，缺口朝西，東側中央位置設有凸出型之Art Deco形式之門廊。 講堂： 為一層之長方形平面磚造建築，1935年震災後於四角落增設扶壁柱補強，屋頂則為「半切妻」形式。
室內特徵U型教室東棟為行政處室，南北兩棟則為教室，且考量西晒問題將廊柱設立於西側。構造以清水磚砌，木窗戶窗臺低矮配合學童身高，921地震修復教室內部鋼柱補強，天花板以檜木復原。 講堂則為兼具集會場所兼雨天體操場之機能，內部牆面以灰泥拉毛工法施作，天花及裝飾樑等皆極具特色。。
使用情形原功能使用，學校作教學使用。
應重點維護之事項1、注意白蟻防治後續查工作。 2、防蟲網清理維護。 3、檢查排水是否堵塞。
現狀民國92(2003)年完成修復及再利用計畫，民國95(2006)年完成修復。

歷史沿革: 明治30年(1897)，日人為使臺灣人學習本國語（日語）而於鰲峰山下成立「臺中國語傳習所牛罵頭分教場」，明治31年(1898) 改制為「牛罵頭公學校」，大正14年(1925)改為「清水公學校」 (現今校舍建於此一時期)，民國57年(1968)改為「清水國小」。 本案校舍於昭和10年（1935）建成時，共有一U字型木造與磚造教室、講堂、幼稚圍及日式宿舍群中的校長宿舍，均為一樓之平房。U字型校舍之北棟、東棟與南棟右邊五間均為磚造，唯南棟末端五間(含穿堂)係木造校舍。學校大門及園區內環境得天獨厚，保存著歷史原味，U型教室建築設計精細，英式磚砌手法為當時期典範，通風口、防蟲網等設施，都是人性化考量，U型設計即是為了通風考量，可以節約能源。為日治時期學校建築典型風格，洗石子與清水磚面是建築特色。教室、講堂、宿舍所連結而成的歷史空間氛圍極為珍貴。 九二一地震後，U型教室牆體裂損、天花板塌陷、屋架毀損，大禮堂屋架毀損、天花板塌落，經九二一震災歷史建築修復全額補助修復經費，並進行調查研究、規劃設計後動工修復，於民國95年(2006)6月29日完工。目前由清水國民小學賡續作為學校教室使用中。

外觀特徵: U型教室： 為一層樓之U字型磚造平房，缺口朝西，東側中央位置設有凸出型之Art Deco形式之門廊。 講堂： 為一層之長方形平面磚造建築，1935年震災後於四角落增設扶壁柱補強，屋頂則為「半切妻」形式。
室內特徵: U型教室東棟為行政處室，南北兩棟則為教室，且考量西晒問題將廊柱設立於西側。構造以清水磚砌，木窗戶窗臺低矮配合學童身高，921地震修復教室內部鋼柱補強，天花板以檜木復原。 講堂則為兼具集會場所兼雨天體操場之機能，內部牆面以灰泥拉毛工法施作，天花及裝飾樑等皆極具特色。。
使用情形: 原功能使用，學校作教學使用。
應重點維護之事項: 1、注意白蟻防治後續查工作。 2、防蟲網清理維護。 3、檢查排水是否堵塞。
現狀: 民國92(2003)年完成修復及再利用計畫，民國95(2006)年完成修復。

歷史沿革台鐵斗南車站宿舍群早期作為斗南站各級員工之宿舍，包含站長宿舍和職員宿舍。此外斗南車站宿舍群是少數非興建在鐵道沿線的宿舍群，原因現今仍然不為所知。 從日治時期始建迄今，歷經日治、戰後、美援時期，各時代建築反映不同的營建技術，斗南車站宿舍群位於斗南鎮新興街、民權路、南昌路、順安街四條街道所環繞的區域內，目前也是台灣現存面積最大的台鐵宿舍群（第一是台北台鐵宿舍群；第二名是彰化台鐵宿舍群）。

歷史沿革乾隆51年(1786)10月，林爽文起兵於中部，南路夥首莊大田率兩千之眾響應，後來兩度攻入興隆莊舊城(今左營舊城)，鳳山縣城陷落。乾隆53年(1788)正月福康安奉命平定南路，鑑於舊城殘破不堪，乃將縣城遷移至下埤頭街(今鳳山區)，是為鳳山新城。 鳳山新城初期僅環植刺竹，編棘為籬，頗為簡陋。嘉慶5年(1800)海盜蔡牽侵犯鹿耳門，官兵疲於奔命，汪降乘機在鳳山縣起事，後兵敗被捕。知縣吳兆麟鑑於民變威脅而強化防禦工事，乃於嘉慶9年(1804)督促兵、民，興建四方共六座的城門。嘉慶10年(1805)11月蔡牽的黨羽朱濆再度騷擾鳳山縣，土匪吳淮泗等賊眾響應攻城，吳兆麟被害，都司鍾璽力戰陣亡，下埤頭新城被賊眾屯踞八十餘日。幾次民變大大衝擊新城的合宜性，於是遷回舊城的意見浮上檯面，地方要員議論紛紛。道光4年(1824)10月間爆發許尚、楊良斌之亂，新城再度被亂民攻陷，至此，地方官員決議進行舊城的改築工程。道光5年(1825)知府方傳穟倡議以官民捐輸方式籌措修建舊城的經費，在方傳穟的努力下，舊城改築工程於道光5年(1825)7月15日動工，道光6年(1826)8月15日竣工。這是台灣第一座石造城池，然而鳳山知縣與紳民皆未遷回，依然滯留新城。 道光17年(1837)正月，曹謹奉命擔任鳳山縣知縣，隨之展開大規模的水圳興築工程，是為曹公圳。隔年(1838)，曹謹在六座城門上增建城樓，復於四隅築建礮臺六座，並外濬環城濠塹再注入曹公圳圳水而成為護城河，使得新城的防禦能力大大提昇。在曹謹積極的建設下，新城更為堅固，民生社會也更為穩定。因此，縱然道光23年(1843)間福建巡撫程祖洛明令速速遷回舊城，官民依然延宕不遷。為了釐清其中問題，閩浙總督劉韻珂派人實地調查兩城的概況，舊城沒落蕭條，而新城受到紳民所喜愛。道光27年(1847)劉韻珂會同福建巡撫徐繼畬向道光皇帝上奏，擬議鳳山縣城定於下埤頭街新城，最後獲得皇帝的應允，雙城之爭終告結束。可見，新城已經是當時鳳山縣無法替代的政經中心。自此之後，僅咸豐4年(1854)參將曾元福修建土牆，使新城更為完善。 日治初期鳳山新城仍是地方重鎮，不過位於西邊的打狗港日益受到重視，因此通往打狗地區的道路日益重要。明治36年(1903)，為了擴建鳳山街到苓雅寮道路而拆毀西門。明治40年(1907)間，南部鐵道系統從打狗向東延長至九曲堂，鳳山也設置停車場，隨之新道路的需求而局部拆毀北面的土牆和刺竹圍籬，總之，都市發展趨勢日益衝擊既有的縣城樣貌。昭和3年(1928)，地方政府以改善公共衛生為由，將清領時期縣城既有土牆和兩萬多株的刺竹加以剷除，並進行今日中山路和光遠路的取直工程。至此，清領時期鳳山新城僅餘留部分殘跡，包括：東便門(三民路底)、平成砲台(曹公路旁)、訓風砲台(中山路旁)、澄瀾砲台(立志街旁)等。而東便門門外的東福橋因民國90年(2001)潭美颱風來襲倒塌，目前二座橋墩已移至岸上保存。

外觀特徵1.東便門及東福橋：東便門為單栱道之城門建築咾咕石結構物，表面被覆以水泥沙漿，並於城門內栱間嵌入鋼筋便梯以便登城頂。 城門頂舖紅色地磚，四周外緣鋼筋露頭結以鐵線圍繞。而東福橋是目前全台僅存的清代橋樑之一，六角形的船形橋墩，橋面石板雖然尚存，然而已加舖混凝土與瀝青道路。 2.三砲台：三座砲台訓風、澄瀾、平成，整體構築皆以咾咕石組砌牆基，及代表該構造物之“門額” (包括東門、郡南第一關、迎恩等)。 在特色上，訓風砲台為雙弧形制，係順著護城河及鳳山溪之地勢而建，面向東南；額題「訓風」是三砲台中門額唯一內向者，兩字題於清道光18年(1838)，左右以灰塑夔龍及書卷圖案裝飾，為台灣其它砲台所罕見。 澄瀾砲台沿護城河而建，為八角形制，護城河、二翼弧牆及銃孔(內大外小)尚留存；平成砲台為長方形制，修復後設置數處射口，雖不見昔日之大砲，亦聊以想像當年風貌。
室內特徵無
使用情形目前三座砲台業已修護完成，整個砲台空間除古蹟本體可至砲台頂瞭望外，附屬砲台的空間，配合景觀整修為社區鄰里公園之形式，提供當地居民休憩之用。
應重點維護之事項無
現狀今鳳山新城所存的遺蹟，只餘東便門，及其門外的四孔三墩東福橋，而曹謹於道光年間所建之六座砲臺，今僅存「訓風」、「平成」、「澄瀾」三座。

歷史沿革: 乾隆51年(1786)10月，林爽文起兵於中部，南路夥首莊大田率兩千之眾響應，後來兩度攻入興隆莊舊城(今左營舊城)，鳳山縣城陷落。乾隆53年(1788)正月福康安奉命平定南路，鑑於舊城殘破不堪，乃將縣城遷移至下埤頭街(今鳳山區)，是為鳳山新城。 鳳山新城初期僅環植刺竹，編棘為籬，頗為簡陋。嘉慶5年(1800)海盜蔡牽侵犯鹿耳門，官兵疲於奔命，汪降乘機在鳳山縣起事，後兵敗被捕。知縣吳兆麟鑑於民變威脅而強化防禦工事，乃於嘉慶9年(1804)督促兵、民，興建四方共六座的城門。嘉慶10年(1805)11月蔡牽的黨羽朱濆再度騷擾鳳山縣，土匪吳淮泗等賊眾響應攻城，吳兆麟被害，都司鍾璽力戰陣亡，下埤頭新城被賊眾屯踞八十餘日。幾次民變大大衝擊新城的合宜性，於是遷回舊城的意見浮上檯面，地方要員議論紛紛。道光4年(1824)10月間爆發許尚、楊良斌之亂，新城再度被亂民攻陷，至此，地方官員決議進行舊城的改築工程。道光5年(1825)知府方傳穟倡議以官民捐輸方式籌措修建舊城的經費，在方傳穟的努力下，舊城改築工程於道光5年(1825)7月15日動工，道光6年(1826)8月15日竣工。這是台灣第一座石造城池，然而鳳山知縣與紳民皆未遷回，依然滯留新城。 道光17年(1837)正月，曹謹奉命擔任鳳山縣知縣，隨之展開大規模的水圳興築工程，是為曹公圳。隔年(1838)，曹謹在六座城門上增建城樓，復於四隅築建礮臺六座，並外濬環城濠塹再注入曹公圳圳水而成為護城河，使得新城的防禦能力大大提昇。在曹謹積極的建設下，新城更為堅固，民生社會也更為穩定。因此，縱然道光23年(1843)間福建巡撫程祖洛明令速速遷回舊城，官民依然延宕不遷。為了釐清其中問題，閩浙總督劉韻珂派人實地調查兩城的概況，舊城沒落蕭條，而新城受到紳民所喜愛。道光27年(1847)劉韻珂會同福建巡撫徐繼畬向道光皇帝上奏，擬議鳳山縣城定於下埤頭街新城，最後獲得皇帝的應允，雙城之爭終告結束。可見，新城已經是當時鳳山縣無法替代的政經中心。自此之後，僅咸豐4年(1854)參將曾元福修建土牆，使新城更為完善。 日治初期鳳山新城仍是地方重鎮，不過位於西邊的打狗港日益受到重視，因此通往打狗地區的道路日益重要。明治36年(1903)，為了擴建鳳山街到苓雅寮道路而拆毀西門。明治40年(1907)間，南部鐵道系統從打狗向東延長至九曲堂，鳳山也設置停車場，隨之新道路的需求而局部拆毀北面的土牆和刺竹圍籬，總之，都市發展趨勢日益衝擊既有的縣城樣貌。昭和3年(1928)，地方政府以改善公共衛生為由，將清領時期縣城既有土牆和兩萬多株的刺竹加以剷除，並進行今日中山路和光遠路的取直工程。至此，清領時期鳳山新城僅餘留部分殘跡，包括：東便門(三民路底)、平成砲台(曹公路旁)、訓風砲台(中山路旁)、澄瀾砲台(立志街旁)等。而東便門門外的東福橋因民國90年(2001)潭美颱風來襲倒塌，目前二座橋墩已移至岸上保存。

外觀特徵: 1.東便門及東福橋：東便門為單栱道之城門建築咾咕石結構物，表面被覆以水泥沙漿，並於城門內栱間嵌入鋼筋便梯以便登城頂。 城門頂舖紅色地磚，四周外緣鋼筋露頭結以鐵線圍繞。而東福橋是目前全台僅存的清代橋樑之一，六角形的船形橋墩，橋面石板雖然尚存，然而已加舖混凝土與瀝青道路。 2.三砲台：三座砲台訓風、澄瀾、平成，整體構築皆以咾咕石組砌牆基，及代表該構造物之“門額” (包括東門、郡南第一關、迎恩等)。 在特色上，訓風砲台為雙弧形制，係順著護城河及鳳山溪之地勢而建，面向東南；額題「訓風」是三砲台中門額唯一內向者，兩字題於清道光18年(1838)，左右以灰塑夔龍及書卷圖案裝飾，為台灣其它砲台所罕見。 澄瀾砲台沿護城河而建，為八角形制，護城河、二翼弧牆及銃孔(內大外小)尚留存；平成砲台為長方形制，修復後設置數處射口，雖不見昔日之大砲，亦聊以想像當年風貌。

使用情形: 目前三座砲台業已修護完成，整個砲台空間除古蹟本體可至砲台頂瞭望外，附屬砲台的空間，配合景觀整修為社區鄰里公園之形式，提供當地居民休憩之用。

現狀: 今鳳山新城所存的遺蹟，只餘東便門，及其門外的四孔三墩東福橋，而曹謹於道光年間所建之六座砲臺，今僅存「訓風」、「平成」、「澄瀾」三座。
