Chinshang Pastoral Farm Resort, located at the well-known rice town of Chinshang Township of Huadong Valley, is surrounded with green mountains. Herds of oxen and rams seek food leisurely on the meadow under the blue sky.
To protect the local natural ecosystem, buildings of the resort are scattered in height, hiding them beneath gardens and natural tranquility, thus creating a vacation atmosphere of leisure. The resort takes up nearly 82 hectares and possesses a large area of land and versatile recreational facilities, including guest rooms, pastoral restaurants, stores (selling Taiwan Sugar ice treats, agricultural products from Hualien and Taitung, aboriginal hand crafts), lounge, conference room, bicycle and e-bike rental service, tourist train, meadow for grazing oxen and rams, pastoral feature area and Bishop Wood Boulevard.
The resort is rich with natural ecological resources, in which visitors can often see birds such as ring-necked pheasants and egrets in the morning and at dusk. Moreover, the resort has collaborated with Taipei City Zoo since 2003 by introducing herbivore animals such as white antelopes. Plates explaining the habits and features of the animals are installed, enabling visitors to have further knowledge on the natural habit of the animals while enjoying their beauty.
