| 簡述 | Northern Cross-Island Highway Visitor Center is the first stop before the tourists enter the Northern Cross-Island mountains. The center not only provides tourism information and itinerary for tourists but also help tourists understand the history and stories of Cross-Island, particularly the life of Chiang Ching-kuo and the incidents taken place in Northern Cross-Island and Taiwan. Here, tourist can see the various cultural relics and interaction facilities. People can know more about the former leader of Taiwan and how he led Taiwan to survive through ordeals and trials and moved towards the prosperity today.The 1F exhibition features the “starting point of Northern Cross-Island” and exhibits the characteristics of Northern Cross-Island mountains and wood craft of Daxi.The 2F Exhibition Theme is the “Carrying Heavy Burdens and Taking the Difficult Road.” Based on Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo and the ten major construction projects promoted by Chiang, the exhibition displayed the development of politics, economy and foreign diplomacy since 1970s, as well as how Taiwan overcame the difficulties towards progress. Tourists can understand the changes of Taiwan in time through cultural relics and interaction experience, using a broader horizon. |
