The Taroko NationalPark Administration applied to theEnvironmental Protection Agency for Environmental EducationFacilitiesLocation Certification, afterlayers ofexamination procedures, recently it officially received certification as an Environmental Education Facilities Location. The Taroko NationalParkwill continue to extend the past experience into the future to strengthen the promotion ofenvironmental education. The Environmental Education Act was officially implementedinJune2011, inordertocontinue to promoteenvironmental educationunderthe basicconceptoftheEnvironmental Education Act, The Taroko NationalPark Administration actively seek to become an Environmental Education Facilities Location, through the procedures of written examination, field exploration of experts and scholars, and supplement of revised relevant information, finally receivedthe Environmental EducationFacilities Locationcertification. The Taroko National Park Administrationstressed that besidethevery richnaturaland cultural resources of Taroko, it also hasenoughmanpower andfacilities, schools at all levelsintheeasternregion frequently come over here foroff-campus teaching, it can be described asthe Hualien areaEnvironmental Education Center. Under the coreconcepts andgoalsofenvironmental education, in thefuturetheTaroko NationalPark Administrationwillbemorepositivelyplanningvarious types ofenvironmental education programsand activities fordifferent targeted groupsandages for participation of schools and the public.
