The total length of Suantou Sugar Factory’s Tourism Train is 5.3 km and the tour takes about 35 minutes. After departing the station, the train will head towards the direction of Taibao and Nanjing.
Docents will be aboard the train to explain the garden scenery along the way, and stories on the history, scenery, buildings, historical items and machines of Suantou Sugar Factory. They will interact intimately with tourists and bring about a happy atmosphere.

Old trees such as the century-old banyan tree, paper flower, long-leaved podocarps, and camphor are planted here.
The director’s dormitory and Japanese style dormitories at the western side of Heyuan Park were executive dormitories built during the Meiji Era. They are still well-preserved and the best location for visitors and newlyweds taking pictures. The ruin of the old shrine in the northeastern side of the park enshrines Dr. Sun Yat-sen and is the only one such in Taiwan.

Suantou Sugar Factory’s Cultural Museum is located as East 6 Warehouse at the right side of Chiayi Gate. It has collected more than 400 precious items on the sugar industry from Suantou, Dalin and Nanjing Factory, including collections such as literaturs, machines, and old pictures. These items were exhibited in the manufacturing sequence of agricultural farm, agricultural affair, railway transportation, labor affair, and management.
Moreover, an old traditional sugar manufacturing plant is also exhibited in the museum, presenting the process of how animal power was used to move the mill in order to squeeze sugar cane juice and boil the latter with big pots. Visitors will feel novel on the exhibited items; it is a popular attraction.
