描述: 512木屋緣由於其地址，宜蘭縣冬山鄉梅花路500巷100弄12號而來；至於木屋更是由於內部存有一棟建築於1979年，占地百坪之大木屋而來。我之所以會在退休之後，又來經營民宿，主要是因為在社會工作多年後，渴望能接近大自然，擁有一大片草原，內有花園、小菜圃，能供我活動筋骨；目前社會因工作忙碌，很難達到親近大自然，更難於與親朋好友促膝長談。因此、我希望能將這樣好的環境介紹給同好者，才興起經營民宿念頭，它又可讓我接觸到社會各種人，它與工作時所碰到的完全不一樣，它沒有利害關係，它純粹是因興趣相同而結合，我們可以瞭東、瞭西，不受任何人影響。民宿經營一年多以後，發覺我可將這片優美的環境介紹給更多喜好的人來體驗，因此、我們又在今年開始了下午茶的營運，三五好友齊聚一堂，一面閒話家常，一面欣賞周遭環境，喝一口濃郁香醇之咖啡，嘗一口又香又酥之麵包、蛋糕等；在炎熱夏天裡，更能遠離冷氣房，清風陣陣徐徐吹來，夾帶陣陣花香，這是多麼棒的享受啊！園區裡任何硬體設備，無論多豪華，總會讓人看膩，唯有大自然風景，隨者一年四季天氣變化，絕不會單調的。歡迎您們的光臨。
