歷史沿革「筱雲山莊」呂家渡臺祖 12 世呂祥省於清乾隆 36 年（1771）自福建省漳州府詔安縣秀篆渡海來臺，為客籍人士，初居潭子瓦磘（今中市潭子區福仁里），後遷至朴仔籬庄（今中市豐原區朴子里）；約乾隆 55 年（1790）始入墾定居於三角仔（今中市神岡區三角里）。 道光年間，14 世的呂世芳因「善居積」，數年後即「家業大昌，而呂氏遂以富盛聞」，成為地方領導士紳，其新建宅第則為今臺中市直轄市定古蹟「神岡呂家頂瓦厝」。 同治 5 年（1866），世芳長子呂炳南（15世）為侍奉母親與因應日漸增多的眷口而斥資興建「篤慶堂」，規模被譽為「樓臺花木，壯麗甲於東海」，且藏書多達兩萬餘卷。清末文人吳子光曾受邀在此任教，16 世呂汝玉、汝修兩兄弟亦為此於光緒 4 年（1878）整修舊宅，由吳子光命名為「筱雲軒」，成為清末中部地區文人薈萃與孕育之地。光緒 14 年（1888）呂汝修中式舉人，為呂家留下一塊「文魁」匾。 乙未改隸（1896）後，呂家在日治時期經呂汝玉等人努力下，不僅保存家業，並擔任官派或地方民選領袖，兼具政經實力，仍維持其地方領袖之地位。 「筱雲山莊」之建造歷程據研究可分為四期，分別為創建期（1866-1877）、二期第二道護龍、筱雲軒、迎賓樓增建（1878-1895）、三期第三道護龍增建（1896-1926）與四期南北側洋式與和式建築（1927-1944）。

外觀特徵筱雲山莊主體建築為一座「兩落多護龍」格局的四合院，第一進門廳門額題為「篤慶堂」，中門兩旁牆上安置豐富的交趾陶裝飾，過了門廳篤慶堂進入中庭，地上的紅磚呈現特殊排列，從中央核心向四角發散，形成四角形及八角形的圖案。在前面大院鑿有一座半月池，有防火及調節氣候之作用。 在篤慶堂東側的筱雲軒是一座兩開間的藏書室，上覆單簷歇山屋頂，三面設步口廊，外貌極為簡樸，在筱雲軒的東南邊建有園林，為當時文人飲酒詠詩之所。 另在水圳南岸的近代日治建築所附庭園，則另有一番意境，設計風格融合中國式與些許日本風，設置五級陶塔也是蘇州園林及日本庭園常見作法。筱雲山莊同時擁有兩座風格不同的園林，在臺灣建築史上誠為特例，彌足珍貴。
室內特徵筱雲山莊規模宏整，細部的雕飾與彩繪亦頗為可觀，尤其是交趾陶作品保存豐富，且有名匠藝師署名落款。木雕及磚雕也是筱雲山莊的特色，木雕集中在棟架上的東隨、員光以及樑下的托木。而磚雕除了技巧之外，也常以青磚與紅磚交相疊砌，形成凹凸線腳，頗具美觀。筱雲山莊的門樓、篤慶堂皆有磚雕作品，護室鳥踏也有磚雕葫蘆裝飾。
使用情形原用途使用，為呂家族人之居住與日常生活之場所。

歷史沿革: 「筱雲山莊」呂家渡臺祖 12 世呂祥省於清乾隆 36 年（1771）自福建省漳州府詔安縣秀篆渡海來臺，為客籍人士，初居潭子瓦磘（今中市潭子區福仁里），後遷至朴仔籬庄（今中市豐原區朴子里）；約乾隆 55 年（1790）始入墾定居於三角仔（今中市神岡區三角里）。 道光年間，14 世的呂世芳因「善居積」，數年後即「家業大昌，而呂氏遂以富盛聞」，成為地方領導士紳，其新建宅第則為今臺中市直轄市定古蹟「神岡呂家頂瓦厝」。 同治 5 年（1866），世芳長子呂炳南（15世）為侍奉母親與因應日漸增多的眷口而斥資興建「篤慶堂」，規模被譽為「樓臺花木，壯麗甲於東海」，且藏書多達兩萬餘卷。清末文人吳子光曾受邀在此任教，16 世呂汝玉、汝修兩兄弟亦為此於光緒 4 年（1878）整修舊宅，由吳子光命名為「筱雲軒」，成為清末中部地區文人薈萃與孕育之地。光緒 14 年（1888）呂汝修中式舉人，為呂家留下一塊「文魁」匾。 乙未改隸（1896）後，呂家在日治時期經呂汝玉等人努力下，不僅保存家業，並擔任官派或地方民選領袖，兼具政經實力，仍維持其地方領袖之地位。 「筱雲山莊」之建造歷程據研究可分為四期，分別為創建期（1866-1877）、二期第二道護龍、筱雲軒、迎賓樓增建（1878-1895）、三期第三道護龍增建（1896-1926）與四期南北側洋式與和式建築（1927-1944）。

外觀特徵: 筱雲山莊主體建築為一座「兩落多護龍」格局的四合院，第一進門廳門額題為「篤慶堂」，中門兩旁牆上安置豐富的交趾陶裝飾，過了門廳篤慶堂進入中庭，地上的紅磚呈現特殊排列，從中央核心向四角發散，形成四角形及八角形的圖案。在前面大院鑿有一座半月池，有防火及調節氣候之作用。 在篤慶堂東側的筱雲軒是一座兩開間的藏書室，上覆單簷歇山屋頂，三面設步口廊，外貌極為簡樸，在筱雲軒的東南邊建有園林，為當時文人飲酒詠詩之所。 另在水圳南岸的近代日治建築所附庭園，則另有一番意境，設計風格融合中國式與些許日本風，設置五級陶塔也是蘇州園林及日本庭園常見作法。筱雲山莊同時擁有兩座風格不同的園林，在臺灣建築史上誠為特例，彌足珍貴。
室內特徵: 筱雲山莊規模宏整，細部的雕飾與彩繪亦頗為可觀，尤其是交趾陶作品保存豐富，且有名匠藝師署名落款。木雕及磚雕也是筱雲山莊的特色，木雕集中在棟架上的東隨、員光以及樑下的托木。而磚雕除了技巧之外，也常以青磚與紅磚交相疊砌，形成凹凸線腳，頗具美觀。筱雲山莊的門樓、篤慶堂皆有磚雕作品，護室鳥踏也有磚雕葫蘆裝飾。
使用情形: 原用途使用，為呂家族人之居住與日常生活之場所。

歷史沿革員林郡官舍並未有確切的興建時間，最早在大正14年（西元1925年）便出現在官方位置，而在大正9年（西元1920年）員林郡役所成立，因此推測該建築物興建於1920年代中期左右，此官舍建築群現今坐落於彰化縣員林市博愛路142巷16、20號。 　　 大正9年（西元1920年）員林郡役所成立後，便於現今的彰化縣員林市博愛路142巷16、20號興建本案之郡役所宿舍，據日治時期市街圖判斷，此宿舍距離郡役所僅約160公尺，距員林車站僅約200公尺，在日治時代即有現今之民權街可供移動，有便於官吏進出。日本政府於領有臺灣後，即將員林街列為彰化平原一帶重要的發展市鎮，因而在官舍鄰近之區域廣設行政機構與學校，同時亦有彰化銀行支店、員林信用組合等商業機構之進駐，顯見該地在行政與商業上已發展成具有現代都市之規模。及至戰後，員林地區一帶仍為高度興盛之區域，官舍附近亦為行政、教育、商業林立之重鎮。 員林郡官舍於戰後為國民政府所接收，並在民國41年（西元1952年）改由彰化縣政府管理，之後由彰化縣警察局管轄，在民國108年（西元2019年）登錄為歷史建築。

指定登錄理由1.表現地域風貌或民間藝術特色者：紀錄員林地區歷史脈絡，為高度在地性代表。始自清朝時期，員林一地即因交通便利、位置適中之故，成為彰化平原與中部臺灣人文薈萃之地，清朝時期己有高度發展；大正9年（西元1920年）州郡街庄改正後亦在此設立員林郡，並廣設日式政教設施，如郡役所、街役場、火車站、武德殿、小學校、公學校等。戰後國民政府官員亦持續使用，但隨著時間的演進，諸多建物遭到自然與人為的損害而多已不復存在，如郡役所原址已改建成商業大樓（今中正路黃金帝國大樓），武德殿（今員林圖書館二館現址）等也已拆毀殆盡，這些過往的遺蹟現今只能從影像、照片遙想當時風華，本案之存在可作為過去記憶之連結。 2.具建築史或技術史之價值者：官舍的使用空間迄今仍未改變，具有高度的延續性。日治官舍是為了提供臺灣總督府任命的官員居住，任期屆滿或調任後需移交給下任接續使用。戰後官舍仍為官員住宿使用，作為水利局、公所等單位官員使用；就使用層面而言，不同族群、文化背景的使用者不僅延續其建築本來之涵意，亦豐富了官舍的生命力。 3.具地區性建造物類型之特色者：員林郡官舍型制上尚稱完整，內部空間亦完整保留。員林郡官舍型為日治官舍建築中之獨棟二戶建雙拼式建築，其具有和諧對稱之性質。本案在歷經日治與戰後不同時代的使用，內部構造雖有部分改建，但建物整體依舊保持完整，內部玄關、廣間、應接室、座敷、居間、障子門，甚至是原始屋瓦等，多保有原來之樣貌，本案在型制與內部空間上尚為完整。

外觀特徵員林郡官舍鄰近之住宅，除後方外其餘全為戰後新蓋之屋舍。其北側現為連棟三層公寓，兩者以2公尺寬之142巷作為間隔；後方為日式矮房，與本案間築有紅磚砌成之矮牆作為分隔。官舍西側與臨棟間有一既成巷弄128巷，道路寬度約為4公尺；東側一帶則為一鐵皮平房，與本案間相連約1公尺寬之走道。 員林郡官舍兩戶皆建有外側圍牆，圍牆在日治時期即已興建，戰後入住之家庭再自行砌磚增高；兩戶人家中間亦有圍牆進行區隔。兩戶住戶在142巷側皆設有「表門」（對外大門），但西側16號之大門甚至已用磚頭封住。在圍牆與房舍中，為一面積44平方公尺（4.1m×11m）之庭院，是當時居住者休憩之用，現該庭院已被附近住戶堆置雜物並長滿雜草。 在員林郡官舍屋頂之「引掛棧瓦」、「棟瓦」、「巴瓦」、「鬼瓦」等為原始之建材，依舊保持大致完整。而外側以木質之雨淋板作為牆壁，現今之狀況亦相當完整。而在日人設計房舍時，考量天氣為溫暖潮溼的熱帶和副熱帶氣候，因此將地板架設的較日本國內為高，且設置通風口。地板下以砌磚方式作為地板支柱。本案在地板設計上亦是如此，並開有長條型之通風口。
室內特徵員林郡官舍建採二戶建雙拼式，因此左右兩戶格局相同且對稱。每戶皆有前庭，大門均位於屋舍正面，進入後為玄關與廣間：內部空間主要為茶間、接應室、座敷、居間，相互間以障子門進行區隔，障子門拉開或拆除後即可連通使用，兼具重視社交與私密空間之性質。內部空間經計算後，樓地板約有132平方公尺。 就屋型設計上而言，員林郡官舍內部空間分布屬「廣間型」，也就是自外側庭院進人屋内後，在玄關處後方有一廣間，屋内各房室以此作為連結之中心。，由大門進入後即可經由廣間直接轉進左側的應接室（小的會客室、面談室），或是右轉進入茶之間（飯廳）。屋舍大門內之廣間與玄關，後者高於前者一階，以為區隔。應接室為屋主招待賓客之場所，應接室內部地面平鋪地板，轉身牆採出挑的窗扇作法，讓主人與賓客在會談過程中可同時觀賞外側的庭園及表門，視野相當良好；應接室與內側座敷間亦隔有障子門，在空間上有其延伸性。應接室現今牆壁已被原屋主改成白色薄木板裝潢，天花板亦改用塑膠材質之輕鋼架。 茶之間為日式房屋中，用以用餐或飲茶的場所，其位置多鄰近台所（廚房），需由玄關經廣間後進入，內部陳設為傳統鋪設塌塌米的日式空間。員林郡官舍的茶間現已被改為中式廚房，並以水泥、磁磚之方式進行改建與搭設流理臺，今尚有一勝手門，為當時家中女眷出入之用。 座敷（主客廳）為日式空間中最尊貴的空間，可在此進行會客外亦是生活起居的重心，牆壁設有「床之間」與「棚」等擺設藝術品或捲軸畫作的櫥架。員林郡官舍座敷可經由玄關、廣間直接進入，亦可經應接室進入，與內側的居間（起居室）一有障子門相隔，在利用上拉開即後形成較大之空間，具有高度延展性與靈活度。內部地面原有塌塌米，現今只剩平鋪的地板。 居間位於座敷西側，為居住者最主要的起居空間，其功能多樣，除了是就寢的臥房以及「子供室」（幼兒房）外，亦可作為座敷的延伸及家族聚會的場所；一般在其底部牆壁上會設置「押入」，也就是儲物空間，用以放置被褥等物品。有一對外四扇之窗戶（一扇現改成木板），採光良好。
使用情形目前現在為內部有所破損，需等待相關再利用或修復計畫。

歷史沿革: 員林郡官舍並未有確切的興建時間，最早在大正14年（西元1925年）便出現在官方位置，而在大正9年（西元1920年）員林郡役所成立，因此推測該建築物興建於1920年代中期左右，此官舍建築群現今坐落於彰化縣員林市博愛路142巷16、20號。 　　 大正9年（西元1920年）員林郡役所成立後，便於現今的彰化縣員林市博愛路142巷16、20號興建本案之郡役所宿舍，據日治時期市街圖判斷，此宿舍距離郡役所僅約160公尺，距員林車站僅約200公尺，在日治時代即有現今之民權街可供移動，有便於官吏進出。日本政府於領有臺灣後，即將員林街列為彰化平原一帶重要的發展市鎮，因而在官舍鄰近之區域廣設行政機構與學校，同時亦有彰化銀行支店、員林信用組合等商業機構之進駐，顯見該地在行政與商業上已發展成具有現代都市之規模。及至戰後，員林地區一帶仍為高度興盛之區域，官舍附近亦為行政、教育、商業林立之重鎮。 員林郡官舍於戰後為國民政府所接收，並在民國41年（西元1952年）改由彰化縣政府管理，之後由彰化縣警察局管轄，在民國108年（西元2019年）登錄為歷史建築。

指定登錄理由: 1.表現地域風貌或民間藝術特色者：紀錄員林地區歷史脈絡，為高度在地性代表。始自清朝時期，員林一地即因交通便利、位置適中之故，成為彰化平原與中部臺灣人文薈萃之地，清朝時期己有高度發展；大正9年（西元1920年）州郡街庄改正後亦在此設立員林郡，並廣設日式政教設施，如郡役所、街役場、火車站、武德殿、小學校、公學校等。戰後國民政府官員亦持續使用，但隨著時間的演進，諸多建物遭到自然與人為的損害而多已不復存在，如郡役所原址已改建成商業大樓（今中正路黃金帝國大樓），武德殿（今員林圖書館二館現址）等也已拆毀殆盡，這些過往的遺蹟現今只能從影像、照片遙想當時風華，本案之存在可作為過去記憶之連結。 2.具建築史或技術史之價值者：官舍的使用空間迄今仍未改變，具有高度的延續性。日治官舍是為了提供臺灣總督府任命的官員居住，任期屆滿或調任後需移交給下任接續使用。戰後官舍仍為官員住宿使用，作為水利局、公所等單位官員使用；就使用層面而言，不同族群、文化背景的使用者不僅延續其建築本來之涵意，亦豐富了官舍的生命力。 3.具地區性建造物類型之特色者：員林郡官舍型制上尚稱完整，內部空間亦完整保留。員林郡官舍型為日治官舍建築中之獨棟二戶建雙拼式建築，其具有和諧對稱之性質。本案在歷經日治與戰後不同時代的使用，內部構造雖有部分改建，但建物整體依舊保持完整，內部玄關、廣間、應接室、座敷、居間、障子門，甚至是原始屋瓦等，多保有原來之樣貌，本案在型制與內部空間上尚為完整。
