Turning a corner, you come upon a traveler’s relay station in the mountains - Goo Dian Coffee House is subtly located in a valley on Lala Mountain, embraced by the blue sky and green environment and just waiting to bring you in touch with the natural world.Situated in relaxed and carefree mountainsShutting off the engine, you hear the wind flowing through the mountains. As you breathe the cool mountain air, you smile and raise your head to take in your surroundings; a simple wooden house sits in the embrace of the green mountain forests. House and forest merge together, creating a harmonious scene. Tiantian (literally means “sweet”), the enthusiastic little Corgi, rushes forward to welcome you with his big, round eyes. You follow Tiantian into the relaxing environment of Lala Mountain.Attached to the wooden reception building is a two-level outdoor coffee terrace. You sit comfortably in a chair sipping a cup of flavorful coffee. The terrace is without windows and doors, so there is no separation between you and the grandeur and magnificence of the mountain range. The Daman creek flows by, revealing the vitality of nature. After a heavy rain, you may have the good fortune to see white gauze-like clouds enshrouding the emerald green mountains. Those clouds also envelope your worries, and you feel convinced that all your troubles will slowly scatter with the clouds and mist.Serene life in the mountain valleyIn your bedroom, host Lin has created a cozy, simple decor that mirrors the rustic character of the mountains. In the three double rooms - the Maple Leaf, Ginkgo, and Wistaria rooms - elegant color schemes further accentuate the endless green scenery outside the windows. Lying lazily upon the soft bed, you can admire the myriad transformations of the mountains as you drift naturally into slumberland. The three-room Sakura Suite is large enough to accommodate a large family on vacation together. In the afternoon, playful children can feed the koi fish in the nearby pond while adults chat about life in the living room. The wooden swing hanging outside the house brings innocent smiles to the faces of young and old alike. In the evening, you prepare a simple late-night snack. After everyone has eaten and drunk to their heart’s content, you sit enjoying each other’s company. It is such simple things that fill life with happiness.A generous and friendly ambiance is the best spiceLin lives here with his younger brother and parents, working together to operate Goo Dian Coffee House and maintain the vast forest park surrounding it. His cute, taciturn father has created an area for raising special and unusual animals, while his mother is responsible for cooking and taking care of the fruit trees. For the convenience of travelers from afar, Goo Dian provides both breakfast and dinner using vegetables from the local mountain landscape to satisfy the taste bud of their guests. Fresh, crisp bamboo shoots, crispy yet tender trout that is grilled to perfection - with fine skill, the chef produces dish after dish of beautiful, seasonal cuisine, with a mother’s home-cooked touch. It is almost as if you’ve returned to your own home away from home in the mountains.Early spring is the time to appreciate the sakura blossoms and in summer, you can savor the fragrant sweetness of juicy peaches.
