Feel free to peruse which ever book may catch your eye.Orange Moon Inn is a split-level structure, and each half-storey level is represented by a different color and botanical theme. For instance, the romantic Rose level is painted in passionate red, while the Ginger Lily level is clad in calming blue. A number of specially crafted carvings represent such local flowers as Small-leaved Barringtonia, Narrow-leaved Dracaena, Frangipani, and others, all indigenous to Pingtung county. The four-person rooms are suitable for groups of friends, while, in consideration of lone travelers, Orange Moon Inn also offers single rooms. If you’re travelling alone, Orange Moon Inn has the perfect nook for you to enjoy. Architectural aesthetics in dialogue with spaceThe eight conceptually colored rooms spread across four stories are replete with ingenuity, inspiring a kind of dialogue between travelers and the building they inhabit. The facade of the cement wall in the entrance is modeled after traditional iron window grates. As the second floor atrium running up through the entire building allows sunlight to trickle downwards, it also invites the wind into Orange Moon Inn, inspiring the atmosphere with rhythmic life. Having been retrofitted by Alumi with a pneumatic luggage elevator, the Orange Moon Inn has integrated an increasingly simple aesthetic. The purpose: to provide each and every traveler the right amount of space to enjoy true freedom and ease.All of these design concepts were generated by guesthouse owner Alumi himself. Alumi once acted as editor in chief of his university magazine, at which time he developed his seemingly endless ingenuity in artistic culture and design. Alumi was previously the owner of a bookstore here in Kenting, when his wife began to dream of opening a bed and breakfast. “Architecture needs to correspond to the environment, and must harmonize with it, the experience of which cannot be replaced by any particular style of interior design.” With such staunch dedication to architectural aesthetics, Alumi resolved to introduce sunlight and shade, wind and form into his design.
